whiteout morning in a midwestern town
watch the steam risin from a whole in the ground
chill in the air i got a chill up my spine
retribution of winter ,this suffering is mine

sun aint shinin, the sky's full of grey
winter done froze and sent the summer away
cold isolation overtakng my heart
long waiting for michigan springtime to start

nature is sleeping, i should do the same
every winter i play this waiting game
longing for warmth, needing the sun
hoping next season brings so much fun

walking through snow, seeing my breath
bundled to fight off a freezing death
got to keep moving, burn some energy
get through this icy misery
