ive got a new pair of shoes
i want them to last for a long long time
im going to take care of these shoes
try not to wear out the soles

i want them to stay nice
i'll polish them every week
i'm going to repair these shoes
sew up the tears and holes

i love these shoes

they are my pride and joy
its rare that shoes will fit so well
and look so good on me

walking in them is a pleasure
