there are no words you can describe
no interest in our discussion
when much of your feelings go unsaid
in a conversation's silent disruption

something important isn't there
more than words, more than presence of mind
there's a general lack of mental care
to express what you're thinking inside

when i read between the lines
there's nothing honest there
your silence speaks volumes
you just dont seem to care

in that i can see some fear
you don't want to be misunderstood
i ask that you give me a chance
i really wish you would

in that i can see some guilt
some details you aren't telling me
without knowing, i can only think the worst
because i've seen the worst in humanity

expression isn't important to you
prefer to be a woman of mystery
explanation takes too much effort
intrusive to expose your mentality

how can i be your current lover
and not be your close friend?

i've discovered a hidden agenda
instincts are telling me is true
rather than be a great pretender
you've honestly shown how little i mean to you

but i just won't take it personally
